Art Deco Warehouse 16 The Vale Sold to Housing Association

Amplio Developments have sold a 35,000 sq ft art deco warehouse 16 The Vale in Ealing to a West London housing association for £13.5m.

The deal comes six months after Amplio secured planning permission to transform the 35,000 sq ft building at 16 The Vale into a major mixed use development. Art Deco warehouse sold, at 16 The Vale, which borders Shepherds Bush and Acton, was originally built by aircraft parts manufacturer Brown Brothers.  Purchased by Amplio in July 2016 from Newman Hire.
Amplio was subsequently granted planning permission by the London Borough of Ealing to redevelop the building into a 50,000 sq ft mixed use scheme. Comprising 39 apartments and 11,475 sq ft of commercial space.
Frost Meadowcroft and Savills acted on behalf of Amplio Developments. The buyer was advised by Everton Phillips and Stream Partners.

Frost Meadowcroft’s client, Amplio Developments has sold the 35,000 sq ft Art Deco warehouse in Acton to a West London housing association for £13.5m (£386 per sq ft).
Amplio obtained planning permission to redevelop 16 The Vale for mixed-use. The handsome warehouse, which borders Shepherd’s Bush and Acton, was originally built by aircraft parts manufacturer Brown Brothers and was purchased by Amplio in July 2016 from Newman Hire who were long standing clients of Frost Meadowcroft.
Amplio was subsequently granted planning permission by the London Borough of Ealing to redevelop the building into a 50,000 sq ft mixed use scheme comprising 39 private and affordable flats and 11,475 sq ft of commercial space.

Amplio Developments has been granted planning permission by the London Borough of Ealing for the conversion and extension of Newman Hire’s former warehouse on the border of Shepherds Bush and Acton. The scheme will provide 39 flats (13 affordable) and 11,500 sq ft of commercial space in a scheme totalling 49,500 sq ft.
Amplio bought the 35,000 sq ft art deco warehouse building from Newman Hire in July 2016 who relocated to new premises in Hayes.
16 The Vale is a four floor art deco style stone and brick clad warehouse with steel crittall windows, originally built by Brown Brothers Engineering in 1928. Brown Brothers were manufacturers of aircraft parts. Newman Hire hires out antiques and props to the film and TV industry. The new scheme retains the handsome art deco facade.
