We are accepted and recognised valuers to many of the clearing banks and financial institutions.
Business Rates Appeals
Many occupiers overlook this substantial cost to their business often thinking there is nothing that can be done about the business rates they pay. We provide a business rates appeals service to clients which is based only on success. All you need to do is contact us and we will provide preliminary advice as to whether there are grounds for an appeal or not.
We do not charge up front fees for appeals that we do not think will be successful. Our fees are based on a company’s annual savings. Therefore there is no financial risk, if you allow us the opportunity to check the assessment on your behalf, it will cost you nothing, but you could make a substantial saving.
Non Domestic Rating Revaluation 2010
The revaluation for 2010 is well underway and will take effect from 1st April 2010.
All non domestic properties in England and Wales will receive a new Rateable Value (RV). The draft rating list for England and Wales will be published on 30th September 2009.
There will also be a new non domestic rating multiplier for 2010/11 which is likely to be a lot lower than the 2009/10 multiplier.
It is likely that your Rateable Value will increase significantly, and even though many ratepayers will see a reduction in their rate liability in 2010 (this is because of the unusually low multiplier) you should still seek advice now to maximize the saving over the full 5 years until the next revaluation in 2015. It is important that your rateable value is looked at by an experienced and qualified Chartered Surveyor.
